Back to School...

  Well, here we are again.  We've had a crazy busy summer.  I finished my year as a high school teacher at the end of May.  For the month of June, I had the opportunity to work at summer school in a p5 classroom.  These are students that are 4 or 5 years old that haven't yet gone to kindergarten, and will be going to kindergarten in the Fall.  I did this last summer and LOVED it. I was fortunate enough to work with the same teacher and had fun making friends and carpooling with two other teachers.  I love working with that age group and it actually led me to apply for some kindergarten positions in Pocatello.

Why Pocatello?  We found out mid July that Kyle had been accepted into his grad program at Idaho State University.  Yay!  They only accepted 5 people this year, so it was quite the achievement and blessing that he got in.  The day that he was scheduled for an interview, I busted my butt to get an interview for a special education job.  I was offered the position, and just today had my first day in the classroom with my seventh and eighth grade special ed students.  I'll be teaching math.

To back up a few steps... Kyle graduated from BYU-I on July 23rd!!!!!!  I was/am so excited for him.  Kyle's parents were able to come out and it was so fun to have them there, as well as, Kyle's brother and his family. And Katelyn, of course!

The day after graduation we packed up in Kyle's parent's truck and headed to Iowa!  We were at his parent's house for a few days before heading to Branson, MO for Terry and Teresa's 40th wedding anniversary.  All Kyle's siblings and families were meeting there and sharing two condos.  We had so much fun going to different shows and going to Silver Dollar City.  It was hot and humid, which I had forgotten just how humid the midwest can be, but I had so much fun hanging out with all the siblings and nieces and nephews.

Happy 40th!  

On the way home from Branson, we were dropped off at my parent's house.  We stayed with my family for almost a week.  I loved just chilling at home.  It was a nice relaxing vacation.  We took the train back to Utah, and had a great trip.

We went to Nauvoo with my parents. They worked in the temple all day and we got to go to a session and then wander around a bit.

When we got back home, we had less than a week before we moved to Pocatello.  We had lots of help and are still astonished by how much more room we have.  Kyle is busy in his classes and working for the program.  The wives of those in it call themselves 'the widows of NIATEC'  So far it hasn't been bad, but we'll see how things shape up.  I think this year will keep us both pretty busy.

I almost forgot to mention that Beth and Elle came up to see me!  And James, of course.  It was so much fun to have them, so I've included pictures from their visit.
